School of Rock
So yeah sorry I haven't posted much recently, if I'm being perfectly honest I have to say that I haven't really heard any music recently which make me wanna go and write elegiac stanzas. But yes i thought i'd just stop by quickly to post a few links to bands who i think are rather spesh at the mo. I guess they're my tips for the second half of 2007.
So let's start with Lo Fi Culture Scene (pictured above). Fudge me! These guys are THIR-bloody-TEEN and they're producing songs which easily rival Bloc Party, if they sorted out their lyrics then I'm sure they'd replace Cajun Dance Party as London's hottest young band. Check 'em out here and download their track 'Meeting Again' as its well Brazil. I think they might become big if this whole All Ages revolution continues, hopefully I'll be able to catch them in the summer to see if they sound as good live as they do on record.
Right next upis Does It Offend you, yeah! Great name, and they come highly recommended they're even supporting Hadouken on their next tour. They're producing some brill electro beats which I'm sure will be causing pandemonium in indie clubs across the country. Random Access particularly recommend the track 'Battle Royale' which can be on their myspace
OR downloaded here: Does it Offend you, yeah - Battle Royale
Also Random Access favourites Late of the Pier released their first single Space and the Woods a couple of weeks ago which you should all go and buy.
Here's the B side Heartbeat.. which is rather ace:
Late of the Pier - Hearbeat..
I'm seeing the Klaxons at UEA next week which should be ace, then the week after that Of Montreal come to the Norwich Arts Centre, so I hope to bump into a few people there.
I'll probably post some more when I've finished my exams. Stay safe kids xxx
